Ear Ye, Ear Ye

Apologies to the pun-averse!

Just appending to a previous post (Joining the Ear Force) where I mused about the value of focusing on pronunciation as a way to develop listening skills rather than as a way to improve speaking skills.  In a happy coincidence, Delta Publishing just posted a helpful document by Jonathan Marks called "Pronunciation for Listening".  It's a free download based on "The Book of Pronunciation", his book available through Delta, of course!

Delta also posted Teaching Spoken Grammar", a related topic by Ken Paterson.

If you're not on their mailing list, I recommend signing up!  Delta offers lots of very informative free downloads.  I like their offerings because they are often in alignment with a materials-light approach to teaching.
